Operating across the full value chain – from the growers to retailers – Coffindo is among Indonesia’s fastest growing companies within the coffee industry since its establishment in 1999.

A single-source producer, Coffindo grows its beans in the largest privately-owned coffee estate in the country – a 2,621 hectare plantation in North Sumatra – and sells its products to restaurants, hotels and cafes across the archipelago.
Having firmly established its domestic business and winning some awards along the way – such as Indonesia’s Best Exporter In 2010 and the Primaniyarta Award as Superior Potential Exporter in 2013 – Coffindo is increasing the efforts to develop its overseas markets.
Coffindo President Director Irfan Anwar said: “Out of the main producers of coffee, Indonesia is the only country that offers specialty coffee, so we are gaining power internationally.”
The company currently trades to more than 30 countries abroad, including the United States and several in Asia, Europe and the Middle East. It also hopes to build up its reputation and compete with competitors from Vietnam, Asia’s top coffee exporter.
Anwar said: “It’s a very challenging industry and one of the most important things is creativity and how to profit from opportunities and empower any limited resources.”
